Paso Robles, California
Varietal: Meritage
Meritage is a made up word meaning Bordeaux style blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Percentage blend is proprietary. Like many of our wines we are not allowed to disclose the specific vineyard/winery where the grapes were grown. In order for us to be able to deliver this kind of sub appellation quality at steep discounts, we must often sign non-disclosure agreements with the vineyards. This particular Merlot came from a reputable and well known winery on the east side of Paso Robles, while the Cabernet Sauvignon came from Suisun Valley, California.
25% in stainless tanks; 75% barrel aged for 12 months. 11% in new French oak medium toasted, the remainder in neutral French and American barrels.
