Occam's Razor, Pinot Gris (2020)

The 2020 Occam’s Razor Pinot Gris is very similar in style to the 2019, perhaps a shade riper with higher toned phenolics. This is a skin contact wine with a beautiful golden-orange (citrine) hue. Lovely aromatics of apricot, peach, marzipan, and acacia. On the palate there are precise notes of apricot, tangerine peel, and honeycomb with hints of spice and marzipan. Fuller bodied with a concentrated palate, crisp acidity, and mineral expression. The lees aging adds a lovely textural component while the skin contact adds just the right level of phenolic grip. The vibrant finish echoes with notes of apricot and minerals. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now or over the next 2-4 years.
